The customer, an automotive radiator manufacturer, previously used TIG welding with large distortion and heavy post-processing. After adopting the gantry laser welder, 2mm stainless steel tanks are welded in one pass with significantly reduced distortion, good seam sealing, higher yield and much shorter cycle time.
